Salamanca is 200 km away from Madrid (Highway A-6, North West direction). You can reach Salamanca by public transportation either by train or by bus. The "AUTO-RES" company, located in Madrid at street Mendez Alvaro, is the best choice. There is an express service departing almost every hour on the hour, both ways. The trip takes about 2,5 hours. Salamanca Bus Station is very closed to the IMB. There is also a Rail Road similar service (RENFE) six times a day both ways, departing from Chamartín Station at Madrid.
